The A Level Exam board Edexcel has confirmed today it will offer a 33 per cent fee rebate for GCSEs, AS and A levels this summer, returning £31 million in total with GCSE and A levels.
33 percent at 31 Million is around 100 Million turn over for GCSE and A Levels for the exam season. Which considering they are suppose to a charity is pretty good income. While Pearson are under the OFqual as a regulated exam board. Their international version, IGCSEs are not. I doubt they will be giving any rebate for these.
It is the latest exam board t to return money to schools following the government's decision not to run exams in the summer of 2021.
While the GCSE and A Leel exams being cancelled in January, Pearson Edexcel board said it had already spent money printing some of the papers for the summer.
